Information Acquisition and Diffusion in Markets

This paper, co-authored with Atabek Atayev, studies how word-of-mouth communication and sequential search interact to create price dispersion. It is shown that price dispersion remains even if consumers have many links to others and how the speed of information diffusion in society affects the equilibrium price dispersion.
